Each piece goes through four key steps: cutting, padding, gluing, and assembly, all done by hand by our artisans. This meticulous work ensures flawless quality and finish. The octagonal design, inspired by Place Vendôme, combined with contrasting stitching and cut-out details, enhances the refined and high-end nature of our boxes while reflecting French heritage. The signature clasp from Le Tanneur adds a touch of distinction, and every detail, from design to assembly, is carefully thought out to create a unique piece that combines aesthetics, durability, and elegance.

Our recycled leather is part of a responsible approach to making the leather goods of tomorrow. Composed of 95% hides and surplus leather carefully selected from tanneries and leather goods manufacturers, these materials are meticulously reworked, transformed and then combined with 5% latex to create a unique, highquality material. This recycled leather has none of the defects of traditional leather, is scratchresistant, will not warp and is highly waterresistant, making it easy to care for your leather goods.

The jewelry boxes and watch cases signed Le Tanneur are designed as true showcases to entrust with what you have most precious. As such, the interior of our boxes and cases is adorned with an elegant velvet trim, renowned for its softness and resistance, ideal for preserving stones and precious metals on a daily basis, as well as other beautiful materials.

At Le Tanneur, we passionately source the finest materials and use full-grain leather, the noblest part, perfected over 125 years. Our leather is 100% certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG).

Le Tanneur’s partner workshops in Europe, North Africa, and Asia follow our Ethical Charter. Each season, we prioritize production in our French workshops and offer collections like Sans Couture, Louise, and Madeleine, all crafted in France.
Our engagements
Le Tanneur uses recycled materials with full-grain leather for durable pieces. Leather scraps are repurposed for watch and jewelry boxes, mostly made from recycled leather. All packaging is made from recycled and recyclable materials, using FSC and PEFC certified paper and solvent-free vegetable-based inks, ensuring sustainability.
