Full Grain Smooth Cowhide
Fullgrain bullcalf leather brings together suppleness and a very elegant silkiness. This exceptional leather is worked in a width of over 2 mm to highlight its natural grain. It is consistent and uniform to craft a traditional leather goods creation. Fullgrain leather is a leather whose surface had remained natural and intact. It is the most noble part of the leather, and that which we favor.
Le Bleu textile lining
The largest houses all have their distinctive sign. At Le Tanneur, it is an elegant bluish shade called "Le Bleu", the color of the lining in most of our creations. Crafted from a nonstaining, silky and resistant textile, ideal for daily use, find this signature lining in our Émilie, Émile, Charles, and many other lines.

At Le Tanneur, we passionately source the finest materials and use full-grain leather, the noblest part, perfected over 125 years. Our leather is 100% certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG).
An ethical production
Le Tanneur’s partner workshops in Europe, North Africa, and Asia follow our Ethical Charter. Each season, we prioritize production in our French workshops and offer collections like Sans Couture, Louise, and Madeleine, all crafted in France.
Our engagements
Le Tanneur uses recycled materials with full-grain leather for durable pieces. Leather scraps are repurposed for watch and jewelry boxes, mostly made from recycled leather. All packaging is made from recycled and recyclable materials, using FSC and PEFC certified paper and solvent-free vegetable-based inks, ensuring sustainability.
