During the Belle Époque, our first master leather artisans drew on the optimism and carefree spirit of youth to lay the solid foundations of Maison Le Tanneur. From the start, they aspired to embody French elegance and share a passion for fine materials and expertly crafted leather goods.

Innovations and trends have followed one another over the decades, forging a strong reputation for our Maison. As our network of boutiques grew, Paris—a beloved and central city for all our teams—became a cornerstone of our story.

3 - A Love for Leather
Le Tanneur’s expertise is passed down year after year, constantly evolving and innovating. A prime example is our Sans-Couture coin purse, created in 1900. This iconic piece earned a silver medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition of the time and became an emblem of the Maison.
