2 - Le Tanneur: A French Leather Goods Maison
In 1898, Maison Le Tanneur took its first steps in Belley, in the Ain region. At that time, France was thriving in the joy and optimism of the Belle Époque. This vibrant period served as an endless source of inspiration for our founding fathers, who drew directly from the French art of living to craft their first leather pieces. Innovations followed one after the other, and boutiques began to flourish across France.

The Maison quickly adopted its guiding principle: to embody French elegance—whether in Cannes or elsewhere—and to share a passion for fine materials and expertly crafted leather goods. This noble mission remains just as relevant today, 125 years later, and the results are beautifully displayed in our Le Tanneur boutique in Cannes.
