The premium materials of tomorrow

Full-grain leather

We have chosen to only use full-grain leather. 85% of the leather featuring in our PE23 collection is certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), un label chargé d’évaluer les tanneries du monde entier. Notre objectif est d’atteindre 100% de nos produits certifiés d’ici 2025.

Recycled materials

The quality of the materials, combined with Le Tanneur's good sense and accumulated know how , make our "timeless" creations durable. Hence why, alongside full-grain leather, we use recycled materials such as polyester from plastic bottles, as seen in our GaspardWe also use leather offcuts to make our watch and jewellery boxes, as well as various small leather items. Today, the majority of our jewelry boxes are made of recycled leather.

Nickel-free creations

On our collections, 80% of our metal parts are certified Nickel Free. We will be proud to have reached 100% within three years.

The right approach to tomorrow

A special code of ethics

Our partner workshops in Europe, North Africa and Asia have signed the Le Tanneur Code of Ethics, which aims to formalise the good social, ethical and environmental practice we commit to in producing our leather goods.

"Made in France"

Each season, we send as much of our production work as possible to our workshops in France's Pays de la Loire region.

We also prioritise the use of local procurement channels and leather from French and Italian tanneries.

Going further tomorrow

Recycled and recyclable packaging

Details matter to us, as can be seen from the packaging our leather goods come in. Everything is made out of recycled and recyclable materials. The paper and cardboard have FSC and PEFC certification, guaranteeing that the forests they come from are sustainably managed. Our printed packaging also uses solvent-free vegetable-based inks. Every detail matters, and each of our initiatives contributes to the proper development of tomorrow's leather goods.

Living the future today

Pieces that last a lifetime

Pieces that you take with you everywhere every day and love for life. Through our communication campaigns, we strive to encourage sensible consumption. This is also served by various on-site actions, such as a customer service workshop (SAV) for the repair of Le Tanneur pieces, because we want them to be worn for years.
